People in the Global South have contributed least to the climate crisis. Yet they are the most affected by its impacts. Climate Stories is a platform for young, committed individuals around the world whose voices and perspectives have been heard too little so far. In digital encounters, they tell their stories and provide insights into their everyday lives and their commitment for climate justice. Together with students in Germany, they develop ideas for a better future.
Climate Stories is a project of Fairventures Worldwide. We are a non-profit organization that works with smallholder farmers to reforest degraded rainforest areas in the tropics. Through the exchange with our colleagues in Uganda and Indonesia, we were constantly reminded of three things that led to the idea for Climate Stories:
